Meet the Principal
My name is Chris Calver, and I am proud to be the principal of Paterangi School.
At Paterangi we have a team of highly dedicated teachers and staff who have as their first priority the education and welfare of our students.
I am committed to enhancing their abilities to do this through support of their initiatives, quality professional development and the sharing of sound educational practices. We have high expectations for and of our students and they usually meet them. We celebrate their successes and encourage all students to give of their best in all areas enabling them to develop well rounded attitudes and beliefs of self and others.
Students abilities to access, analyse and communicate information using a variety of means enables them, with the assistance of our quality staff, to become responsible for their own learning, preparing them to become outstanding contributors to the world which awaits them.
I am passionate about providing opportunities for our students to develop their knowledge and understandings, through a wide range of academic, cultural and physical activities.
I am confident that each and every student at Paterangi school has an excellent opportunity to progress and develop into a wonderful person.
